You Are So Kind

Hi there! Today I made a card for this week's Color Throwdown.

I started by die cutting the heart shape out of red, yellow, and green card stocks. I then used the same heart die to die cut the panel for my card front. I popped all the pieces out of the white panel and inlaid those areas with pieces from the colored card stock. The sentiment die I used has both the sentiment and an outline so I die cut the outline out of velum and the sentiment out of red card stock. I stamped a smaller sentiment on a piece of white card stock and popped it up with foam tape. To finish, I added a few red rhinestones and popped the panel up on a white card base.

My Supplies:

Stamps: SSS Tiny Words
Dies: SSS Filigree Heart, SSS Script Hello
Ink: PTI Pure Poppy
Paper: PTI White Stamper's Select, PTI Pure Poppy, PTI Harvest Gold, PTI Spring Moss

Butterflies With a Thank You

Friday, March 8, 2019

Hello there! Today I have a card that I made for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I made this card for my aunt because she does our taxes every year for free so I try to send her a card with a gift card. I started by cutting a piece of black card stock and a piece of patterned paper to the sizes I wanted. I stamped the three butterfly images onto some Bristol Smooth card stock, colored them with my Zig Clean Color markers and then die cut them. I stamped the sentiments onto a strip of black card stock and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I then adhered everything to a white card base. The center butterfly and sentiment strips are popped up with foam tape.

My Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts New Day Butterflies
Dies: Hero Arts New Day Butterflies
Ink: Versamark, Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers in Carmine Red, Scarlet Red, Lemon Yellow, Yellow, May Green, Shadow Mauve, Light Blue, Cobalt Blue, Persian Blue, Light Violet and Dark Oatmeal
Paper: Strathmore Bristol Smooth, Papertrey Ink Stamper's Select White, Papertrey Ink True Black

Amazing

Hi there! I created a card for this week's CASology challenge.

I made this card for my niece because she's an amazing kid. She does very well in school, she has a great personality, and she is super sweet. She's going through a rough patch and had to have surgery on her knee so I thought I would send her a card to tell her how amazing I think she is.

I started by cutting and scoring an A2 size card base and masked off the sides with masking paper. I stamped the circle images in Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I did this twice because I used two layers of the circle images. I did some ink blending around the circles with a few different colors of distress oxide inks. I white heat embossed my sentiments onto a strip of black card stock and then popped it up with some foam tape.

My Supplies:
Stamps: Simon Says Stamp Amazing
Ink: Versamark, Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Salty Ocean, Broken China, and Peacock Feathers
Paper: Papertrey Ink Stamper's Select White, Papertrey Ink True Black
