Merry Wishes

Friday, October 30, 2015

Hi there! It's already Friday and almost officially the weekend! Just waiting on my husband to get home so we can go buy a few new things for Christmas. Our new house has higher ceilings so we're getting a taller Christmas tree for the living room. I can't wait! Today I have a Christmas card for Freshly Made Sketches.

I admit I struggled a bit with the squares. I started out wanting to make them presents and proceeded to change my mind a few times before deciding to keep them as squares. I pulled out a new stamp set I hadn't used yet and stamped snowflakes onto white die cut squares. I cut squares slightly bigger than the white squares and die cut the large part of the sentiment out of red card stock. I die cut some white snowflakes, adhered them on top of the squares, and stamped the smaller part of the sentiment on the white panel. I matted the panel with a piece patterned paper and adhered it to my card front.

My Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Quilted: Winter, PTI Wet Paint Holiday
Dies: PTI Wet Paint Holiday, MFT Let it Snowflake, Sizzix Squares
Ink: PTI Pure Poppy
Paper: PTI Pure Poppy, PTI Stamper's Select White, PTI Pure Poppy + White Basics Patterned Paper

Thank you for coming by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Love You Always

Hello there! I can't believe it's already Wednesday! This week is going by so fast. Today I have a card for this week's CASology challenge.

I started out by die cutting two banners from the new PTI Quilted Tag dies. I stamped the white banner, adhered both banners to my card front, and trimmed off the excess. I recently bought the Wet Paint dies and I am so glad I did. I die cut the "love" and placed it above the white banner and then stamped three hearts around the die cuts.

My Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Wet Paint, PTI Noted
Dies: PTI Wet Paint, PTI Tag Sale: Quilted Die
Ink: PTI Pure Poppy
Paper: PTI Stamper's Select White, PTI Pure Poppy, PTI Pure Poppy + White Basics Patterned Paper

Thank you for coming by!

Papertrey October Blog Hop Challenge

Sunday, October 25, 2015

Hi there! I have been excited about Christmas for a couple months now so I was thrilled to see this month's PTI Blog Hop inspiration photo! Such gorgeous traditional colors! I had so much fun listening to Christmas music while creating my projects.

This card is not my usual style. As I was choosing the dies I wanted to use, I decided to play with some layers and experiment with different colors. I like the overall look of it but I wish I would have centered the doily on the red polka dot paper and cut both ends off instead of just the top.

For my second project, I created a set of four tags using Sheer Basics Vellum Patterned Paper. I backed them with Spring Moss card stock so the white patterns would show up but still be bright. I adhered the wreaths, bows, and die cut sentiments flat to the tags and popped the stamped part of the sentiments up with foam tape.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you're having an awesome Sunday!

Sending Holiday Joy

Tuesday, October 20, 2015

Hi there! This week's Merry Monday challenge is to make a card with a frame on it. I have some new frame dies so I was excited to make my card!

I stamped the house first and then die cut it. I die cut the snow for the roof out of white card stock and also a double sided adhesive sheet. I sprinkled white glitter on the double sided adhesive. I die cut the snowman and lamp post and stamped them. I cut the snow drifts and used a zig glue pen to add some white glitter to the tops. I stamped the sentiment, die cut the frame from patterned paper, and adhered everything to the card front.

My Supplies:
Stamps: PTI All Through the House Make it Market Kit, PTI Holiday Lights
Dies: PTI All Through the House Make it Market Kit, MFT Die-namics Pierced Rectangle Frames
Ink:  PTI Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Smokey Shadow, Pure Poppy, Fine Linen, Soft Stone, True Black
Paper: PTI All Through the House Make it Market Kit Patterned Paper, PTI Stamper's Select White
