I admit I struggled a bit with the squares. I started out wanting to make them presents and proceeded to change my mind a few times before deciding to keep them as squares. I pulled out a new stamp set I hadn't used yet and stamped snowflakes onto white die cut squares. I cut squares slightly bigger than the white squares and die cut the large part of the sentiment out of red card stock. I die cut some white snowflakes, adhered them on top of the squares, and stamped the smaller part of the sentiment on the white panel. I matted the panel with a piece patterned paper and adhered it to my card front.

ReplyDeleteWow, Janelle! This is beautiful! I love the use of only red and white, and the way you stamped the snowflakes in red and then layered the cutout snowflakes on top. It is a wonderful design! Thanks for sharing with us at Freshly Made Sketches!

ReplyDeleteThis red and white Christmas card is a beauty! The stamped snowflakes and die cuts really make those little squares pop. And that touch of candy cane stripe peeking out is the perfect touch.
