Smooshing and Polka Dots

Thursday, April 2, 2015

Hi there! Today is the first time I have ever tried smooshing and I have to say I love it. It's so fun and a quick way to make an amazing background. I don't know why I waited so long to try this technique. I think it's because I thought it was going to be much more messier than it was.

I used the sketch from this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge:

I chose three ink colors and inked up a piece of acetate, spritzed it with some water, and laid my card stock panel on top of it. I stamped the hello sentiment and then adhered the polka dot vellum and strip of polka dot paper.

Because I used polka dots, I am also entering this card into this week's City Crafter Challenge.

Thank you coming by!

My Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Noted
Dies: MFT Die-namics Fishtail Flags Stax
Ink: PTI Hawaiian Shores, PTI Blueberry Sky, PTI Plum Pudding, PTI True Black
Paper: PTI White Stampers Select, PTI 2009 Bitty Dot Basics, PTI Sheer Basics Vellum
