Hi there! My last post this evening is a card for Freshly Made Sketches. I couldn't pass up this week's sketch.

I had so many ideas but finally decided to go with this one. 

I recently bought PTI's Dot Spot and I thought the middle sized circle of dots would be perfect for the circle in the sketch. I die cut the butterfly, the butterfly antenna, and the piece I stamped my sentiment on. In the sketch the small rectangle is in front of the larger one but that didn't look right with the butterfly so I hope it's okay that I tucked it behind. Since I am obsessed with the large stitched panel die in MFT's Blueprint 13 I of course used it to die cut the panel. I am also loving white card fronts on white bases right now.

Happiness & Sequins

Hi there! For my third post today I am participating in the City Crafter Challenge Blog where the theme this week is to use banners on your project.

This card was a happy accident :) When I die cut the rectangle frame out of the front panel for the card I made for CAS(E) this Sketch I loved the flowered frame I was left with. I also had the smaller panel left from die cutting the Autumn Rose card stock so I adhered those two together. I die cut two flag banners. One out of white card stock that I stamped my sentiment onto and one out of polka dot vellum. I adhered those to my card front and finished with a few sequins. I think I am sequin placement challenged haha It took me a little while to decide where to put them and I'm still not sure about it.

With Love & Flowers

Hello! I just love the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch this week so I knew I had to make a card using it. 

I love PTI's Garden Gild Make-It-Market mini kit so I chose the stamp set from that kit for this card. I began by stamping the top right corner of my panel and worked my way down to the center and across the top. The smaller flowers are perfect for filling in the spaces between the larger flowers and the leaves. When I was done stamping the flowers I stamped the large "Love" sentiment and the small "with" above it. I die cut a rectangle border out of the stamped panel and also out of a piece of PTI's Autumn Rose card stock. I inlaid the the die cuts and adhered them to the card front. I love the way this card turned out!

Christmas Cheer with Dipped Edges

Hi there! I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! I am here today with a card for this week's Merry Monday Challenge. The theme is sparkle, shimmer, and/or bling so I decided to try a technique I hadn't tried before: heat embossed dipped edges.

I am currently obsessed with the large stitched panel die from MFT's Blueprint 13 and I used it to die cut the front panel. I die cut the poinsettias and cut a piece of white card stock to stamp my sentiment on. I stamped the poinsettias and their leaves and dipped the edges of the dies in versamark ink, then dipped them in silver embossing powder and heat set the powder. I finished by adhering all the pieces to my card front.
