Ahoy! It's your birthday!

Sunday, July 12, 2015

Hi friends! Yesterday, for the first time in over a month, I was able to get together with my sister-in-law and niece for a crafty day! I made a few cards including this card for my nephew whose birthday is next month. I also made this card for this week's challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

I started out by choosing which stamp set and ink colors I wanted to use. I decided on a nautical theme and die cut one square out of polka dot paper and one out of white card stock. I stamped a boat on the white square and adhered both squares to a stitched die cut panel. I then stamped the waves and sentiment onto the panel and adhered it to a white card front. For a finishing touch I added the ahoy tag. I love how it turned out and I can't wait to give it to my nephew!

My Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Ahoy
Dies: PTI Ahoy, Sizzix Squares, MFT  Die-namics Blueprint 13
Ink: PTI Pure Poppy, PTI Enchanted Evening, PTI Blueberry Sky
Paper: PTI White Stamper's Select, PTI 2008 Bitty Dot Basics

Thank you for stopping by!

  2. This is so sweet. It would make a great welcome baby boy or young boy's birthday card. Every element blends together so perfectly here. I really like that stitched background, too.
